How to Download Instagram Reels
DLGram lets you download any public Instagram Reel as an MP4 file — free, without watermarks, in the original HD quality. No registration, no app installation. Works on iPhone, Android, and desktop.
What Are Instagram Reels?
Instagram Reels are short-form videos up to 90 seconds long, designed for entertainment and discovery. They are one of the most popular content formats on the platform — creators, brands and influencers use Reels to reach new audiences. Unlike Stories, Reels stay on a profile permanently (unless deleted) and are publicly visible by default.
Saving a Reel lets you watch it offline, share it, or archive content you want to keep — without relying on Instagram keeping it available.
Step 1 — Find the Reel and Copy Its Link
Navigate to the Instagram Reel you want to download. You need the direct link to the Reel.
On the Instagram app (iPhone or Android):
Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) at the bottom right of the Reel → tap "Copy link". The URL is now in your clipboard.
On Instagram.com (desktop browser):
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) on the Reel → select "Copy link". Alternatively, copy the URL directly from your browser's address bar — it should start with instagram.com/reel/.
Step 2 — Paste the Link into DLGram
Open dlgram.org in your browser. Tap or click the input field and paste the Reel link — or tap the Paste button to paste from the clipboard automatically. DLGram detects the Reel instantly and prepares the download link within seconds.
Step 3 — Download the Reel
Click or tap the Download button. The Reel is saved as an MP4 file to your device in the highest available quality — no watermarks, no quality loss.

See the full desktop download guide for more detail.
Reel Quality and Format
DLGram downloads Instagram Reels as MP4 files in the highest resolution available from Instagram's servers — typically 1080p for most Reels. No compression is applied. The downloaded file is identical to what Instagram stores.
MP4 is compatible with all devices and media players: iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, VLC, QuickTime, and all major video editing apps including Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve and iMovie.
The maximum quality is limited by the original upload. If the creator uploaded at 720p, the download will also be 720p — DLGram cannot upscale beyond the original resolution.
Troubleshooting
The Reel plays in the browser instead of downloading
On iPhone, tap and hold the Download button and select "Download linked file". On Android Chrome, if the file opens instead of saving, tap and hold the link and choose "Download link".
The link is not recognized
Make sure you copied a full Reel link (starting with instagram.com/reel/). Profile links and hashtag links are not supported. The Reel must be from a public account.
The download quality seems low
DLGram always fetches the highest quality Instagram makes available. If the quality appears lower than expected, the original upload may have been at a lower resolution.
The Reel has no audio after downloading
Try a different browser. Some browser configurations block audio in downloaded files. VLC Media Player can usually play files correctly regardless of browser.
