Highlights are stories an account has pinned under its bio so they do not expire. Shops keep catalogues and price lists in them, creators keep tutorials, travellers keep whole trips. This page saves individual highlight items to your device.
How to use it
- Open the highlight. Tap the highlight circle on the profile and pause on the item you want.
- Copy the item link. Use the ⋯ menu on that item and choose Copy link.
- Paste and save. Paste above and download the MP4 or JPG.
How it works today
Open the highlight in Instagram, pause on the photo or video you want and copy that item’s link from the ⋯ menu. Paste it here and the item is returned as MP4 or JPG — video at its original bitrate, photos at their stored dimensions.
Saving an entire highlight with one button is not available at the moment: the data source stopped listing the items inside a highlight, and we would rather say so than show a button that fails. The item-by-item route above works reliably.
Highlights are not stories
A regular story is gone after a day. A highlight stays until the owner removes it — which can happen at any time and without warning. If a size chart, menu or price list in someone’s highlights matters to you, a local copy is the only one you control.
Older highlights can look soft. Instagram stored stories at smaller sizes a few years ago and never re-encoded them, so a 2018 highlight has no sharp version on any server.
Need the live stories as well?
Type the @username into the same field to open the profile card. It lists the stories that are active right now and offers the HD profile picture — useful when the content you want is still in the 24-hour window.
Finding the item link on a computer
On a desktop browser the address bar already holds a usable link while a highlight is open, which is quicker than the phone menus. Open the profile on instagram.com, click the highlight circle, pause on the item you need and copy the address.
Highlight videos keep their original sound. Photos keep the text, stickers and drawings the owner added, since those are part of the stored image.
Frequently asked questions
Can I download a whole highlight at once?
Not right now. Each item is saved from its own link; collection-level download will return when the data becomes available again.
Does the account owner get notified?
No. DLGram does not log in to Instagram and nothing is sent to the account.
Why does an old highlight look blurry?
Instagram kept older stories at lower resolution. The file you download is exactly what Instagram stores — no tool can add detail that is not there.
Do highlights from private accounts work?
No. Only public accounts are supported.
