An Instagram video can live in four different places: a regular feed post, one slide of a carousel, a long IGTV upload, or a Reel. They all share one address format, so a single field handles every one of them and returns a plain MP4 that plays in any player.

How to use it

  1. Copy the post link. Open the video post, IGTV or Reel and choose Copy link from the share or ⋯ menu.
  2. Paste it above. Paste into the field. Carousels open as a grid of their items; single videos as one preview.
  3. Download the MP4. Tap Download under the video you want. The button shows the file size.

Every kind of Instagram video, one field

Feed videos and IGTV uploads are served the same way as Reels, so long-form clips are not cut short — a 20-minute IGTV video downloads in full. Carousel posts are expanded into their separate items: each video slide gets its own preview and download button, and photo slides sit next to them, so you take only the parts you need.

Videos are delivered as standard MP4 files that open on iPhone, Android, Windows, macOS and in common video editors without any conversion step.

Where the file ends up

  • iPhone and iPad (Safari): the Downloads folder in the Files app. Open it, tap Share and choose Save Video to move it into Photos.
  • Android (Chrome): the Downloads folder, visible straight away in the Gallery or Files app.
  • Windows, macOS, Linux: your browser’s download folder. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work.

Why not just screen-record?

A screen recording captures the phone display, not the video: interface overlays, notification banners, a lower frame rate and a second round of compression. Downloading takes the original stream, so it is sharper, smaller and has clean audio. It is also faster — a two-minute clip saves in seconds instead of two minutes.

Saving videos for offline viewing

A downloaded video plays with no connection at all, which makes it useful for flights, commutes and places with poor coverage. Instagram’s own offline mode does not exist: a bookmarked post still streams from Instagram every time, and it disappears if the author deletes or archives it.

If you save many clips, rename them as you go — for example with the account name and a short topic. Video files from Instagram carry generic names, and a folder of identical-looking files is hard to search a month later.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a length limit?

No. Long IGTV videos and short clips are handled the same way — the whole file is downloaded.

Can I download only one video from a carousel?

Yes. Each item in a carousel has its own download button, so you can save just the slide you want.

Why does a video say the account is private?

Videos from private accounts are only visible to approved followers, and DLGram never logs in, so it cannot reach them.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser. There is no app, extension or sign-up.
